Los restaurantes, subvencionados &nbsp;&nbsp;se centrar\u00e1n en satisfacer las necesidades de los hogares desfavorecidos con ni\u00f1os y servir\u00e1n comidas nutritivas y producidas de forma sostenible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto piloto de restaurantes , seg\u00fan fuentes del Foodprint, es uno de los seis proyectos que recibir\u00e1n financiaci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n del Reino Unido (UKRI) para abordar las preocupaciones sobre la accesibilidad y la asequibilidad de comidas nutritivas. Algunos continuaron operando como restaurantes c\u00edvicos hasta bien entrada la d\u00e9cada de 1970.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nourishscotland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Nourish_Public_Diners_report.pdf\">informe publicado en octubre<\/a>&nbsp;del a\u00f1o pasado por la organizaci\u00f3n ben\u00e9fica de alimentos Nourish Scotland argument\u00f3 que el estado deb\u00eda aprovechar una vez m\u00e1s los beneficios de las comidas comunitarias mediante el establecimiento de una red de restaurantes asequibles que sirvieran comidas saludables y sabrosas al p\u00fablico en general. El trabajo incluir\u00e1 la ejecuci\u00f3n de dos sitios de prueba, en Dundee y Nottingham, con el objetivo de comprender los aspectos operativos y el impacto que los restaurantes pueden tener en la ciudad y el bienestar de las personas que viven, trabajan y estudian all\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer a\u00f1o del proyecto se centrar\u00e1 en el desarrollo conjunto de los sitios de prueba tras los comentarios de la poblaci\u00f3n local sobre sus necesidades y preferencias, que van desde las ubicaciones y los men\u00fas hasta los horarios de apertura. El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n buscar\u00e1 reclutar un proveedor de catering que est\u00e9 a la altura del desaf\u00edo de administrar el restaurante. La licitaci\u00f3n se anunciar\u00e1 a finales de este a\u00f1o, y los comensales de prueba reales abrir\u00e1n sus puertas durante 12 meses, a partir del verano de 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre 2023 y 2024, 7,5 millones de personas viv\u00edan en hogares con inseguridad alimentaria cada mes, seg\u00fan UKRI, lo que supone un aumento de 300.000 personas entre 2022 y 2023 y de 2,5 millones de personas entre 2019 y 2020.
