KFC, Dunkin&#8217;, Peet&#8217;s Coffee o\u00a0\u00a0Coca-Cola y Pepsi, que se encuentran juntas colaborando en el\u00a0Proyecto de Vasos Reutilizables de Petaluma en California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se han unido a la iniciativa tambi\u00e9n&nbsp;&nbsp;pymes de restauraci\u00f3n y empresas de food retail tales como Target o Safeway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A partir del 5 de agosto, m\u00e1s de 30 restaurantes de la ciudad cambiar\u00e1n sus vasos de un solo uso por reutilizables, los cuales entregar\u00e1n a sus clientes\u00a0sin costo alguno, estableci\u00e9ndose centros de devoluci\u00f3n en 60 puntos de la poblaci\u00f3n.\u00a0Despues de usar y devolver los vasos, se recoger\u00e1n, lavar\u00e1n y recircular\u00e1n para su uso futuro. Muuse, el fabricante de un sistema inteligente de vasos reutilizables gestionar\u00e1 la log\u00edstica de la iniciativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proyecto que viene por el\u00a0\u00a0Consorcio NextGen, una colaboraci\u00f3n multimarca gestionada por el Centro para la Econom\u00eda Circular de Closed Loop Partners todos comprometidos en sacar a vaso de un solo uso del mercado, tal como se\u00f1ala\u00a0\u00a0su directora Kate Daly\u00bbPara crear un mundo sin residuos de envases, aseguran que en EEUU se usan\u00a050 mil millones de vasos de un solo uso cada a\u00f1o, la mayor\u00eda de los cuales en restaurantes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petaluma, en el norte del \u00c1rea de la Bah\u00eda de San Francisco, fue seleccionada porque los consumidores y las empresas de la regi\u00f3n son m\u00e1s receptivos a adoptar la reutilizaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n existe un entorno normativo que promueve la eliminaci\u00f3n progresiva de los envases no reciclables de un solo uso. El esfuerzo tambi\u00e9n recibi\u00f3 el apoyo de\u00a0Zero Waste Sonoma y la empresa de gesti\u00f3n de residuos Recology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starbucks fue pionero a nivel mundial en materia del lanzamiento de reutilizables\u00a0en m\u00e1s de 25 mercados de todo el mundo hasta la fecha y, en enero de 2024,\u00a0comenz\u00f3 a aceptar vasos reutilizables para pedidos desde el autom\u00f3vil y m\u00f3viles\u00a0en los EE. UU.\u00bb<em>Se necesita toda una comunidad para construir el futuro de la reutilizaci\u00f3n que queremos ver.
