{"id":1528,"date":"2024-04-03T21:25:36","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T19:25:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foodstory.es\/?p=1528"},"modified":"2024-04-03T21:25:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T19:25:39","slug":"compass-ukir-rinde-cuentas-de-su-plan-de-sostenibilidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foodstory.es\/en\/compass-ukir-rinde-cuentas-de-su-plan-de-sostenibilidad\/","title":{"rendered":"Compass UK&amp;IR rinde cuentas de su plan de sostenibilidad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Las empresas de contract catering, como Sodexo, lideran la transici\u00f3n de una econom\u00eda lineal a otra circular, bas\u00e1ndose en estrategias de sostenibilidad que tengan como com\u00fan denominador la ambici\u00f3n del net zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En esta ocasi\u00f3n, es el grupo Compass (facturaci\u00f3n global de 21.000M de libras) quien da un paso adelante mediante su filial en UK&amp;IR( ventas del orden de 2.000M de libras)al rendir cuentas de su hoja de ruta hacia el net zero, una vez que en 2021 present\u00f3 al SBTi su plan de reducir en un 69% sus emisiones de GEI antes del 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objetivo no logrado ya que, como casi todas las empresas, tuvo problemas para medir las emisiones del Alcance 3 y adem\u00e1s al adquirir la empresa CH&amp;CO, ha tenido que recalcular cifras, por lo que ha pedido un aplazamiento hasta el 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aun as\u00ed, Compass UK&amp;IR present\u00f3 a mediados de Marzo, en Londres, sus cifras sobre trabajos para obtener net zero , publicando que logr\u00f3 llegar a una reducci\u00f3n del 9,4%,tomando como base 2019, considerando todos los Alcances(1,2 y 3) que a nivel individualizado supuso&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;un 68,8% en A1 , un 89,2% en A2 ; pero tan s\u00f3lo un 8,5% en el A3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para ir creciendo en los porcentajes citados, Compass se ha basado en trabajar sobre cuatro ejes de actuaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.- La cadena de suministro, donde a trav\u00e9s de su plataforma de compra Foodbuy mantiene relaci\u00f3n estrecha con sus proveedores al objeto de calcular las emisiones que les pueden trasladar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.-Los ingredientes de sus 8.034 recetas y fichas t\u00e9cnicas.Habiendo logrado ya que, el 25% de las mismas, hayan obtenido una calificaci\u00f3n A\u00f3B de la certificadora Foodsteps, manifestando que, a lo largo del 2024, intentar\u00e1 que el resto pasen de C y D a A y B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.-Las operaciones, donde manifiesta que, en algunos casos, la reducci\u00f3n de las emisiones o la mitigaci\u00f3n de los efectos adversos sobre el medio ambiente se han alineado con el resultado final (la reducci\u00f3n del desperdicio de alimentos es un ejemplo), pero en otros ha tenido un costo financiero, lo que representa una compensaci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un ejemplo podr\u00eda ser c\u00f3mo el acuerdo de su filial&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Levy UK + Ireland con Notpla(&nbsp;&nbsp;proveedor de envases de alimentos biodegradables a base de algas marinas )&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;har\u00e1 reducir las emisiones del uso de&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;75 millones de envases en venues de eventos y deportes&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;durante los tres pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. El cambio no lograr\u00e1 ahorros comerciales, pero los envases de&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Notpla reducir\u00e1n las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero hasta en un 70% en comparaci\u00f3n con las alternativas de otros proveedores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;4.-Cultura de empresa. Al publicar voluntariamente su primer plan de transici\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica, se podr\u00eda argumentar que Compass simplemente se est\u00e1 adelantando al regulador, que los exigir\u00e1 en 2026.
