Aunque el a\u00f1o pasado celebr\u00f3 su 70 aniversario, ese hito ha terminado coincidiendo con el final de la explotaci\u00f3n de la marca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En su mejor etapa, Spaghetti House lleg\u00f3 a operar m\u00e1s de una docena de locales. Con el tiempo, la red se redujo primero a seis restaurantes y despu\u00e9s a cinco, que son los que han cerrado ahora. Seg\u00fan la empresa, pese a los esfuerzos realizados en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os para adaptarse a un entorno cada vez m\u00e1s complejo, el negocio no pudo resistir una combinaci\u00f3n de presiones: el aumento sostenido de los costes, los efectos persistentes de la Covid-19, el Brexit y la inestabilidad global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;En conjunto, estos factores transformaron de forma profunda el panorama de la restauraci\u00f3n en el centro de Londres y acabaron precipitando el cierre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spaghetti House siempre fue reconocida por ofrecer platos de pasta a buen precio, aunque su nombre tambi\u00e9n qued\u00f3 ligado a un episodio dram\u00e1tico de su historia: el llamado \u00abasedio de Spaghetti House\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;En 1975, hombres armados tomaron como rehenes a ocho empleados italianos en el restaurante de Knightsbridge. El suceso se prolong\u00f3 durante cinco d\u00edas y termin\u00f3 cuando los seis rehenes que segu\u00edan retenidos fueron liberados al quedar claro que la polic\u00eda no aceptar\u00eda las exigencias de los secuestradores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoy, el sector de la restauraci\u00f3n casual &nbsp;afronta una presi\u00f3n distinta, pero igual de asfixiante y mucho m\u00e1s prolongada.
